Leading Economic Regulation and Antitrust Expert Becomes A Senior Consultant To CRA International

Dr. Robert Harris, Professor Emeritus in the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, Expands CRA's Economic Consulting Capabilities

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 23, 2009--CRA International, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRAI), a worldwide leader in providing economic, financial and management consulting services, today announced the expansion of its economic consulting capabilities. Robert G. Harris, Ph.D., a recognized expert in telecommunications, regulation, antitrust, and competition policy, has joined CRA as a Senior Consultant.

CRA’s President and Chief Executive Officer James C. Burrows, said, “Dr. Harris has excellent qualifications as an economic consultant, expert witness and academic, and is someone who I greatly admire. He has been a leading voice in our industry, particularly for antitrust and regulatory issues in telecommunications. Dr. Harris has advised in the areas of economic regulation and antitrust for nearly 30 years. At the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is now Professor Emeritus, he taught courses in managerial economics, antitrust and competition policy, and telecommunications. He also served as chair of the Business & Public Policy Group and director of the Consortium in Telecommunications Policy Research. He has published more than 50 academic articles and dozens of reports analyzing competition, public policies, competitive strategies, and technological change.

As an expert witness, Dr. Harris has testified before congressional committees on antitrust, regulatory policy, and telecommunications legislation and before the Federal Communications Commission; the US Department of Justice; 27 state regulatory commissions; and national regulators in Canada, Australia, and Mexico. Dr. Harris has also testified in state and federal courts, arbitration, and mediation on class certification, relevant market definition, competitive effects, liability, damage causality, and economic damages in cases involving mergers, monopolization and attempted monopolization, price fixing, vertical restraints, intellectual property, and commercial litigation in telecommunications, information technologies, and a wide range of other industries.

Professor Harris has also served as a business consultant to leading telecommunications companies on mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring; the development of public policy advocacy strategies; and technology forecasting and the implications of technological change for business strategy.
